Of course there technically is a difference there, but we are not talking about the basic points of making football decisions. We are talking about "Tebowmania" If you think it's not here now then I cannot even fathom what Tebowmania actually is or how insane it must be. And again, market value bro!!!!! Any QB who is traded away for a 4th round pick is NOT viewed by either team as a QB that must get a crack at the starter's job asap. So to build that in as some "must" scenario is "mania" to a tee. where else, ever, has a QB been traded for a 4th round pick and then been demanded by the media and fans to get a shot at the incumbent's job who is 4-2 in the playoffs in 3 seasons with playoff wins over Brady and Manning? That is the definition of "mania" right there. You dmeanding this guy gets an open competition opportunity is "mania" It is!!!
If Tebow deserves a chance to compete for the Jets #1 QB job, then it is inconceivable that his trade value was a 4th round pick. INCONCEIVABLE. Teams would have lined up to make a trade for a QB that is so good that it's an automatic that he should be considered over an incumbent with a 4-2 playoff record.
I agree that if Tebow gets a start, the "mania" kicks into overdrive, but the mania is here full force right now. Full force.

The Jets got Brett for a 3rd & 7th, Miami got Pennington for free. It doesn't mean much.
Tebow isn't walking into a greatest show on turf situation here the O was bad last season, the chemistry problems? 100% O plus the Jets haven't won
because of Sanchez he hasn't been that kinda qb. Tebow deserves a shot.
I don't think the two QB system is gonna work. Two qb system/go with the hot hand QB system = waste of time.
Find the best QB/leader in preseason-training camp and stick with him.
