Not as good but still what he does best.

Just more evidence of the cowardly/safe/play-not-to-lose coaching style we have seen in general. It's good for job security but not so much for winning championships and building championship caliber teams.

How is leaving a CB who is not what he used to be out on a island playing it "cowardly"? Stubborn, yes. Stupid...possibly. Cowardly??? Not seeing that and that's an awfully silly word to be tossing around jusdt because he didn't give Geno the chance you wanted him to for whatever reasons.

Revis is still a top flight CB...her just needs some help now and then. And BOTH Revis and Bowles need to acknowldege that. Not much different then when Hermy was feeding Curtis the ball 30 times a game even though he was clearly not the player he used to be. That's not "cowardly"...its just dumb.

Bowles has to learn from his mistakes. We'll see if he does in 2016.

OK, good, then we are all on the same page. Im just not sure I'd call it "cowardly". And truth be told, the only reason IBG is using the term is because he thinks playing Fitz over Geno was "cowardly" and he's trying to prove that point in other areas.

I don't think either was "cowardly". I think pretending Revis was revis 2009 was dumb and not playing Geno at all was for a set of totsally different reasons.

Totally agree. And Watkins is THE GUY to neutralize. Double him, with Revis being half that equation at the LOS, and spy Taylor. That's that. Win. Three of our guys dedicated to the two guys that can hurt us.

Bowles better have learned something here. He got schooled by the guy he replaced.

    ^^^^^ This

After Sunday’s loss on Sunday, Bowles said a lot of Watkins’ grabs were when the Jets were in zone coverage. Revis backed up that notion,
saying the Jets played a lot of zone during the preceding five-game winning streak.

Yesterday wasn't anything resembling leaving him on an island. 2 seconds before the snap, he backed off 8 yards and just handed Watkins everything underneath. That's coaching scared and playing it safe. Yes Watkins is fast, but if you're going to just hand a team a consistent 6-12 yards everytime they throw it his way out of fear of the big play, then who is going to pass that up?

57 is right, if you're not going to play Revis in bump and run on 90% of his snaps then you're basically negating everything that made him a hall of famer. Putting him on a #1 and having him run scared is basically rendering him useless.
