    Eli replaces Kurt Warner

It was week 11 wayyyyy back in 2004. Tom Coughlin sits Kurt Warner to save his life and starts his rookie 1st round pick Eli Manning. It looked like a good time because the Falcons were to visit the gints. The Falcons won that game with Eli throwing 2 INTS.

In the long run it worked well for Eli, Coughlin and the Giants.

Hopefully Eli will recall his performance, his NFL debut against the Falcons in '04.

That's true, it seemed to have helped him so far. 2004 was the first season for Coughlin there as well. You remember who he replaced?

Series is tied at 11-11-0. G-MEN have won 5 of your last 6 games together since that Coughlin/Manning inauguration.

Fas made the playoff his first season, They made the Super Bowl too, then another WC. They go up one season and down the next. To their credit Giants have made regular playoff appearances, unlike Fins of late. Parcells started their winning way.

Before Tuna, they were abysmal: 18 seasons having only one winning record.

ahhh, but the Dolphins have a rich history. At least Miami has something to kind of hold onto in that respect. The Falcons history is something not to behold but as losers, like we Falcons fans are told we are as is our team, it don't bother us so much if that makes sense.

In fact the Fins 'n Falcons are both 49 years old this season. Not yet over 50! My theory is, the Falcons may be the only N.F.L. team hearkening that era. So they were stranded, to compete alone against stiff competition from older N.F.L. teams. That made the team look less successful than the A.F.L. teams.

Then along came Tampa Bay and y'all were put in together with the Saints into the conference South Division. Nice!

I sure hope you get a W up in Jersey, good luck. Giants have been sloughing off lately you know. If Sparano threw a red flag he might have had won there in 2011, but that's beyond the pale at this point.

That is an interesting thing there man,...or lady if whatever. Stranded,...makes sense. The Falcons were stranded to compete with the established teams. There was no draft of players from other teams like the Panthers and Jaguars enjoyed and those two teams almost faced each other in a SB in their 2nd year in existence,...both went to the conference championship in only they second year as franchises.

The Dolphins enjoyed a man named Don Schula, we had a drunken former HOFamer.

hahaha,...yeah the old NFC West,...Rams moving from LA, to Anaheim, Niners stacking talent, paying off zebras,...damn them good ole days man they SUCKED.

And yes, don't know why the loss of math, it is 49 years.
