A sweep of the Reds capped off a great homestand. And in the first 25 or so games of this 2014 MLB season I've noticed a Braves similar approach to philosophy that the NFL Falcons have tried to do recently.

The Falcons have tried for 6 years to build a defense that would make a difference. The Braves have one of the best defenses in MLB. The Falcons desire to score early on while the Braves are playing for the late game scoring even if it comes early due to their defense and pitching staff.

Offense and having the ball in position to score points derives from the defense.

There's been some plugs inserted lately, mostly former Chiefs. The Braves system doesn't rely on NFL buddies like a lurie.
