The only real point of a pro day is to VERIFY what the game tape shows and put some NFL level measurables into the total database. is the legit NFL velocity there? Without pressure, with everything scripted is the dead solid, almost perfect accuracy there? Or.... is the velocity a little weak compared to NFL caliber? Is the accuracy a little up/down, without any pressure.

You go there looking to confirm the love that the game tape created, or say, hmmm, the kid made a lot of plays in college but the legit NFL arm talent isn't quite there. Sound like Johnny confirmed the NFL arm talent.

Now can he read NFL defenses and all that? Nobody knows that, ever, until he gets IN the NFL. That goes for all QB prospects. You look for the signs of it in college came tape, then you ROLL THE DICE.

JWilly, thats why I think Bridgewater is in for a big fall, he's this years long face in the green room, because his pro day was alarming from both respects that you sighted:

    A) His arm strength wasn't nearly as advertised, quite the contrary, it was average at best, and thats being kind.

    B) His accuracy was downright pathetic, and as you said, thats in a comfortable, scripted environment with no defense, and when I say pathetic, I mean Nuke LaLoosh wild.

It was so bad that I wouldn't draft him with the 18th Pick if he fell to the Jets. I wouldn't even consider it.

And on top of all that, he has small hands too, the kiss of death for QB's in the NFL, particularly outdoors in the northeast.

Manziel, by contrast, is small in stature like Bridgewater, but he has hands the size of catchers mitts.

Here's an early look at the next Johnny Football.

Austin is entering his Senior season in HS, really a stud who does everything.

Would he be the shortest player taken #1 overall in the history of the draft?

Jaworski is still taking nasty dumps on him.

I hope height discrimination makes him drop. It's giving me hope.
