Your gut...and half the sports media oulets that keep reporting it!!!! ;)

I dont hate that as long as he comes on the cheap. His upside (if he couold ever stay healthy) is not much different then Matt Flynn's. When he plays, he usually plays pretty well.

But now I dont understand why they signed Garrrard. If all three make the final roster, theres no room for a rookie.

A Kolb signing has to come w/ a Garrard cut IMO.

Or at least a McElroy cut.

Wait....Is that the new sandwich from McDonalds for St. Paddys day?
    J-E-T-S! It's not exactly a passion, it's generally more of a sickness.

FACT: The New York Jets will never win a Super Bowl with Woody Johnson as the owner.

Sign Kolb, trade Sanchez for a jockstrap if at all possible (eat a bit of his salary, get him out of that locker room)

    Kolb, Garrard, McElroy

Agreed, in any event anything beats the hell out of Sanchez, Tebow.

Exactly what I was saying the other day, Jets jumped the gun on that signing one day prior to the start of free agency. Why not wait to see what shakes loose? Its not like there was a conga line to sign David Garrard whose been out of football for two years, and even if someone did sign him, big deal, guys like that are a dime a dozen.

As it turns out Fitzpatrick and Kolb were released, and IMO both are better options than Garrard.

If we sign Kolb I would still draft two QB's, someone like Tyler Bray in RD 3 and Sean Renfree in RD 4

Then I cut bait with Garrard and McElroy and go into the season carrying 4 QB's

    Sanchez
    Kolb
    Bray
    Renfree

Next year Sanchez gets cut and comes off the books and we are down to three, with the rookie who shows the most promise this year (camp, practice etc.) penciled in as the 2014 starter, of course unless we are in a position or can get into a position to draft Manziel or Bridgewater, in which case we start the rookie phenom, cut bait with Kolb too, and keep the three young QB's on the roster.
