Best performances from the Bills game.

PFF’s top Five Jets From Season Opener
    Glenn Naughton September 15, 2017

Pro Football Focus, the website dedicated to watching every single player on every single snap of the NFL season released their top five grades for Gang Green’s week one game against the Bills.

The rankings are slightly different from those released the day after the game as PFF does multiple cross-checks to ensure accuracy, which will sometimes see a grade go up or down.

Top graded #Jets in Week 1

    83.6 Kony Ealy
    81.0 Leonard Williams
    78.9 Jordan Jenkins
    73.7 Jamal Adams
    71.8 Jermaine Kearse

All five players who scored well per PFF, also made our list*of players who stood out in the Jets’ 21-12 loss earlier in the week.

Free agent waiver Claim Kony Ealy topped the list, a result of applying consistent pressure on Tyrod Taylor throughout the game, while Jordan Jenkins, who was stellar in setting the edge and Leonard Williams who had a pair of pressures and several run stops was just behind Ealy at 81.0.

Also a respectable day from rookie safety Jamal Adams and the newly acquired Jermaine Kearse, who, despite just a handful of practices with Josh McCown in John Morton’s offense, was able to come away with 7 receptions for 59 yards

BTW, they left out the great performance by the coaching staff to ensure a loss.

Those guys were so terrific yet the D gave up 5 yards a carry.

    Just shows stats mean shit.

Lesean McCoy is one of the best running backs in all of football and the Bills' line has 3 players in Glenn, Incognito and Wood who would start on the Jets instantly.

The Jets gave up 21 points on the road. That's not terrible defense in 2017 NFL. These games are not going to finish 10-3

The problem isn't Bowles or the D Line. It's the offense, just like always. The Jets D could be the 1986 Bears and still lose games without a competent offense.

TOP 33 to 27 bills zzzzzz not like we handed the ball to them with a 3 and out every time... if clay doesn't have a TD pass go thru his hands the bills roll on us. They ran it down the jets throats.. even Bowles called them out. Poor lee had jersey marks on him from being buried by offensive lineman all day.

Yeah, it was a weird combination of huge chunk plays and shutdown. Kind of like a Barry Sanders performance.

    McCoy is special.

The sucking of the offense does NOT mean we don't have a Bowles problem. Bills are a mediocre team with a mediocre QB who was limited in practice time going in, AND they dropped a TD on us. Bowles will be exposed when he plays better teams. Wherever you feel the talent capabilities of the roster fall, Bowles DOWNGRADES it from there. A good coach has the opposite effect.
