It's the age old dilemma .. ruthless and inglorious bastards are disgusting to anyone fully human but also provide a semblance of global balance. An assassination or coup seems like the best course, at this point, but who's waiting to take the man's place? Nation building is foolhardy, but how can the people be freed from an oppressive regime, long term?

It seems that at some point China lost control of their puppet state. Time to get that reined in, or else they will pay more dearly than anyone. The best way to do that nowadays seems to be economic sanctions, but this evil tyrant has no problem ignoring the plight of the masses and using what little they have to advance his pernicious agenda.

It's really odd those calling for war against Russia for nonexistent election tampering are against going to war with North Korea who actually threatened us. The best bet works be state clearly the U.S. respects the sovereignty of North Korea and is only interested in eliminating the regime which threatens us.

Military science is a real thing. People study it at places like West Point.

Over thousands of years of records, certain facts about war have become known.

    1) Long supply lines doom war efforts. 2) Fighting a land war in Asia really is dumb (Princess Bride reference).

This situation would be like if USSR invaded Haiti during Bay of Pigs. Boots on the ground infantry would draw a response from China (who has 10x more infantry by the way and doesn't give a rats ass about human rights)

Talon wants "strategic nukes" dropped in China's backyard, totally absurd. Do you really believe China won't respond to that?

Use your head and think this through.

China is the world's factory and the US is the world's consumer.

There's way too much global business is at stake for any kind of major Asian conflict.

and as Ret likes to point out, the USA isn't properly taking care of the veterans it already has. a war with NK would make more life long dependents on the single payer VA. You guys should be against bigger government.

The Bitiot advising others to "Use your head and think this through" might be his most laughable post ever.

His response if the fat little tyrant follows through on his threat to launch ICBM's to within 19 miles of Guam would be to do nothing?

We would have no other choice to shoot them down & then it would be game on!

China needs to heal their pitbull, or the world will react. And shut them off. It's a ying yang relationship. The Corp I work for just purchased another American foundry, I'm loving this

The scenario I laid out was a 'first strike' in response , to minimize South Korean casualties.

Bit thinks a war between us and China will be on land, so...there ya go.. it will be technology vs technology. We have launch sites in their back yard but they have a huge sub fleet. We have a big nuke drone fleet. The only negative is China has way less respect for their citizens than we do. Nobody will win the war. China knows that.
