    Denver's three QBs

    Commentary to follow,...

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said last week that he expects to have a depth chart at quarterback heading into training camp and he gave more of an idea about how that depth chart will look on Tuesday when he fielded another round of questions about the three men competing for the job.

Mark Sanchez worked with the first team during practice and Trevor Siemian worked with the second team, but Kubiak indicated that he saw the two players on a similar level with the end of offseason work drawing near.

“Trevor and Mark have looked each other in the eyes the whole offseason,” Kubiak said, via the Denver Post. First-round pick Paxton Lynch is a rung below the two others with Kubiak pointing to the rookie’s inconsistency in practice as the reason he’s behind the other two quarterbacks at the moment.-yahoosports

Also Kubiyak said,...“Those two guys are right there with each other. It’s a very competitive situation. They’re obviously ahead of our young guy right now from a mental standpoint,” Kubiak said, per Cameron Wolfe of denverpost.com.

well,...rookie Paxton Lynch, selected by the Broncos in the first round, doesn’t seem to be on the same page as the other two. Oh I know why,...I've played on football teams in which a couple or a few players would ostracize a team mate. This makes me dislike Mark Sanchez,...he should know better with his experience. He's a so called cancer type guy and every team he's been with seems to get tired of his crap, and his play. I'm no Nostradumbass but when the Falcons play the Broncos in week 5,...if the Broncos are 1-3 or even 2-2 before that game in Denver,...watch and see the rook start. History shows the Falcons are consistently and constantly playing games against rookie QBs, many times the rook's QB debut.

We are, after all. talking the Super Bowl Champs aren't we?,...

For the first time in a while, a defending Super Bowl champion enters the following season with a huge question mark at quarterback.

Following the retirement of all-time great signal caller Peyton Manning and the departure of Brock Osweiler in free agency, the Denver Broncos’ quarterback situation is about as unsettled as any in the NFL.Denver did trade for veteran Mark Sanchez in March before selecting former Memphis signal caller Paxton Lynch in the 2016 NFL Draft. Though, recent suggestions from Denver indicate that holdover Trevor Siemian could be in line to start with a good performance during training camp (more on that here). Now comes this from the venerable Adam Schefter over at ESPN. The NFL insider is reporting that talk of Siemian starting is “legitimate.”

“The Trevor Siemian talk and chatter is real. He has a legitimate chance to win the job. The competition is real,” Schefter reported on Sirius XM Radio on Monday. On the surface, this seems to make no real sense. Of the three quarterbacks currently on Denver’s roster, Sanchez boasts the only NFL starting experience. Meanwhile, the team traded up for Lynch during the first round of the draft this past spring.

Siemian, an undrafted free-agent signing from Northwestern last year, has yet to attempt a regular season pass in the NFL. He also posted just 27 touchdowns compared to 24 interceptions in four college seasons.

This is a clear sign that Denver is not impressed by what it’s seen from Sanchez during off-season activities. And as it relates to Lynch, the expectation there has to be that he’s at least a year away from seeing the field in any real capacity. Either way you spin it, the defending champs are in a less-than-enviable situation at the quarterback position with less than two weeks remaining until camp.

Denver is going to crash and burn hard, Paxton is a bust too. I'll be laughing the whole time
