    RIP Andy Dinocola

    To Andy

    You fought the good fight
And now your pain and suffering are over
    You’re in a better place
    Where the Raiders always cover.

A place where the Raiders are always undefeated
And win the Super bowl every year
    Where marijuana is legal
And the stadiums sell nickel beer

You’ve crossed the Denver goal line
    Putting victory in hand
    The final horn has sounded
    Strike up the marching band

Time to celebrate a life well lived
    And an even better friend.
So raise your glass to Andy Dinocola
    Number 1 Raider fan
    To the very end.

Andy was in Florida and I in California, but I regret not having a face to face meeting with him over the years. But we kept in touch via the phone mainly, especially from around 1999 to 2012. I supplied servers for Andy's web business and we worked through various IT problems and online fan stuff. Through it all, Andy was like a family member because he always was loyal and willing to run thru a brick wall if I needed him.

As an admin, especially for years on the Raiders boards, Andy was tough. It was his way or the highway and I don't remember any gray areas. For that, he earned a great deal of respect.

I knew he was suffering a great deal of pain in his last days. I am happy now that he is at peace and can watch the Raiders return to respectability from his sky box seat in heaven.

God Bless Andy for all you gave us.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Andy. We spent a great deal of time discussing football as well as other things. I will miss his sense of humor and his knowledge of football. I think over time the Packers became his 2nd team and I had been a Raiders fan in the 70's & 80's. He's spoke often of his wife affectionately known as "mrs P", his inlaws in Wisconsin and I remember a story about his niece outside the Chic-fil-a. A song from Katy Perry comes to mind. I know andy loved to cook. We would often kid each other because he'd be eating something with a fancy French name he made from scratch at the same time I'd be eating a pre cooked cheddarwurst nuked in the microwave for about a minute. It was hard to know what to say to someone in such pain. Day to day life had become a struggle for him. I take solace in knowing he is at peace. Sundays in Fall will never be the same.
