That is what national so-called pundits are saying. It was a disappointing year but I am not sure we are laughing stocks? Thanks Rex.

Only because of where not only Rex put us with his predictions, but where a lot of pundits had us....
It's a case of how far we fell from playoff if not SB expectations to the steaming pile we turned into at the end...
It's like the perception of Jet fans at the draft, some things we won't escape until we actaully reach the top of the mountain.
It's not the Buccaneers or the Browns or the Rams, sure it's the 8-8 jets. :loco:
The media dumps on them when they're in the AFC champ game, get used to it.

After what's come out today, my answer is yes.
Maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention at times, but I can't remember things ever being this bad.

Why would they even bother going on that show?

At 8-8? No way.
I think the Colts finishing with the #1 overall pick (after years of double digits wins) because of the injury to one player makes them the laughingstock of the NFL.

Or how about the "Dream Team"? They finished 8-8 too, but their owner sounded like it was 0-16!! They aren't sued to missing the playoffs under Andy Reid.
Just like the Red Sox barley missing, it's about as bad as it gets. It's the quality (for lack of a better term) of the demise that makes it stand out, not the record, and Philly and the Jets were by far the worst failures, due to their bluster.
