Comradely Greetings. Here starts the speculation,

In 2009 our rushing attack was one a the best then next season it was one of the worst. What caused this shift in the rankage? We definitely improved at WR by adding Marshall. The other skill players are the same.

OL, though, was where the difference in the two years occurred. John Jerry could only start two games all year after being selected in the third round of the 2010 draft. I think we could beef it up. Betcha Sparano thinks the same.

By adding Pouncey to a unit with Long, Carey and Jerry, Miami could solidify it's front line ...

No Second Round...

Jerrel Jernigan is one of the wild cards of the NFL Draft. He played in the Sun Belt conference, but speed is something Miami severely lacks.

Jernigan is simply the play-maker Miami has lacked for years. While not a vertical threat, he is extremely elusive and a nightmare for a defender to take down, especially in one-on-one situations. In his Junior and Senior seasons with Troy, Jernigan caught over 155 passes for over 1,900 yards.

Marshall and Bess possess the hands, and Jernigan would catch the speed. Jernigan ran a 4.46 at the combine, but what is even more impressive is on film. Instantaneous off the line and adept at finding openings, especially in zone coverages.

The best part about Jernigan is his ability to be utilized in different facets of the game. Jernigan can return kicks and is a former QB who has been utilized in the wildcat formation in college. No more Pat White, Hooray!

His combination of speed and kick-return ability meake up for Ginn, and flex in wildcat formation make him an ideal replacement for White in the third round. Besides, Pace HS actually had a WR named Jernigan too, and he was great.

Round 4, 111th Overall Pick: Shane Vereen, RB, Cal

Round 5, 146th Overall Pick: Roy Helu, RB, Nebraska

Round 6, 179th Overall Pick: Robert Housler, TE, FAU

Round 7, 217th Overall Pick: Tori Gurley, WR, SC

Tori Gurley stands at 6'4" and has 35" long arms, is a physical wide-out that has no problems playing in the middle or running vertical. Dangerous in the red. He's got ability to shield defenders from the ball. In 2010, he didn't drop a pass. Also, his name reminds me of Curley when I was in the Army.

Bleacher Repo turned out all offensive. I think the Fins could use another Jason Taylor-like player, so my second thoughts here are to go for a Von Miller or Cam Jordan on the first round. Not quite sure why the Fins' OL is more like Jello last year, but Parcells has tried his damndest to beef it up.
