Ginny Junior has only five catches and 77 yards over the past four games, including that nice bomb from Henne in the Jets game. Trust the Hart Line. "I'm ready for anything the coaches feel I'm ready for ... [Take] Chad [for example,] he was always great in practice. He knew he was there but he couldn't get to the next level until he was given the opportunity.''
During the span in which Ginn caught just five passes, Hartline has six. For 121 yards!
Course, team officiondos have yet to indicate that Ginn's role will be mainly fielding returns on the special team, but coaching staff IS growing privately frustrated by their struggles. Somewhat surprisingly concerns are least with his dropped passes than his marked inability to benefit from his best speed.
On Saint Game Sunday in a corner route and a post route, Ginn failed to sell any type of fake and ran one-dimensional downfield routes that brought little separation. Ginn can't consistently elude his defenders, becoming difficult for coaches to justify his starting role. Bess makes a better comparison with him too.
The Dolphins coaching staff defintely must spend plenty more time this week trying to figure out how to maximize the potential of its wide receivers. They cannot do otherwise, after Saints Game Sunday. Don't be surprised Hart Line gets his shot.
