An interesting thought...

With all the Safety signings this off season, I among other Lions fans have been wondering about Greg Blue. A Safety that played well at the end of last year well... I've had a thought... I wonder if the recent signings at safety coupled with the lack of upgrading the LB corps means we can expect to see Blue bulked up and moved to LB?

It makes sense.... Blue is a phenomenal tackler, but struggles in deep zone coverage... He could make a great SLB if he bulked up about 10-15 lbs... Shades of Thomas Davis? What do you think?

Yeah, its a thought. He's got the height. Guess we wait to see what happens in the draft. I would assume, as per Marinelli's interviews, that whoever is drafted to play in the middle will actually start at the strong side with Lenon holdin down the middle until the rook shows he's ready to be the man at the mike. Personally, I say if the draft Lofton or Connor (Eh, who knows, it could happen...) that either one could start and be as good if not better than Lenon.

I do hope they keep Blue on the roster, outside of Smith, he's a better option than the other FA safeties they signed.
