Second Official 2008 Interactive Public Mock Draft

Alright folks, this is it - the first official public NFLFans Mock Draft has been scheduled. The draft will be held on site in the Mock Draft section of the chat room on Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th. Here are the rules and regulations for the event:

•5 Rounds
•R1 –R3 Noon Sat March 8th EST (est. 2.5 to 3 hours)
•R4-R5 Noon Sunday March 9th EST (est. 1.5 to 2 hours)
•1 Minute per pick, timed from when you are put "On the Clock" by the Commish (me)
•If you fail to pick in the minute after being put OTC, the next team will be OTC and eligible to jump you. This can continue for multiple picks until you get yours in - and it has happened before, I won't hesitate to do it.
•If no GM's for a team are present and they have not e-mailed me a ranked pick list to use, I'll make the pick for you
•Trades will be allowed in or into the first round only. You may only use 2008 Round 2-4 picks in the trade. (i.e. A high 2nd and a high 4th for a low 1st is acceptable) Trades must be emailed to the Commish BY BOTH TEAMS prior to Noon PST Thursday January 24. They can include conditional statements. For example, If both SF and NYG email me the following – If Desean Jackson is on the board at # 26 and Dan Connor and Kieth Rivers are off the board, then SF gives #30 and #103 to NYG for #26.” Then I would look at the trade values on our trade value sheet. And see 3069 + 345 = 3414 vs 3422. It works and I would send an approval email to both of you prior to R1.
•The official draft order is posted below.
•GM Roll Call will be at 11:25 AM EST - then the draft begins, if you're not there we're not waiting
•IMPORTANT - To get on the GM list, you MUST e-mail me at willydow@comcast.net with the e-mail header "Second Public Mock" - no e-mail, no GM spot. Replying to this thread is not an email! Email must include the team you are requesting and your Username on this site. You must be a member in good standing on this site to participate. In many cases, more than 1 GM will be assigned. We ask that you use the PM system to communicate with your co-GMs and meet in the chat rooms to set up your team board well in advance. GMs who refuse to work with others will not be tolerated.
•In an effort to make this Draft a positive experience for everyone, no commentary will be allowed in the Chat Room. Only the commissioner and the GM Spokesperson for the team on the clock will be allowed to talk. We suggest you have the shout box open in a separate window if you wish to make comments. Violators of this rule will be given one warning and then the Executioner will boot you from the chat room.
•In the event that due to computer problems you get booted from the chat room while you are on the clock, we will have an administrator monitoring the shout box. You may make your pick there and it will be relayed to the chat room.
•You may also volunteer to help administer the Draft. I need a helper to continually update the thread that lists the players as they are taken. We also need someone to monitor the Shout Box in case a team is forced to make their pick from there.
•The NFLFans ranking of all 300+ players in our database will be emailed in EXCEL format to all GMs and Co-GMS on Thursday March 6. We will be completing a rerank between now and then incorporating Combine data. Use the TOP 200 button at the left of the homepage to review profiles of top players. Trade Pick Value spreadsheet will also be emailed at the same time.
•First priority will go to the members of the Draft team who have worked so hard to complete profiles and rank the players. Kudos to PnP, Q, NL, Unk, Ljs_Jets, WolfGANG, DChard, and Elijah who have been instrumental thus far in helping me get this site ready for the Draft. Give them the “clap” smiley often. 2nd priority will go to those who are major contributors to this site and who have proven their mettle as GMS in the past.
•I will try to update the GM's list once a day - if you're name doesn't appear right away don't worry - I'll get you listed and fire an e-mail back when I update the list.
Alright, thats the bulk of it - a bit long, but needed to get everything to go off smoothly. Below is the GM list, I'll update it as needed until it's filled. Good luck to all who participate, I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
