So, now we know. Essentially the entire team has given up on Rod and Co. With a loss like that, giving up all they did to 2nd and 3rd stringers, these guys have no pride and/or no shame. Thats all I can say, what more is there? They collected a paycheck on this one, just like that last Vikings game. Despite what some will point to as "Marked improvement" aka 3 and 13 to 7 and 9 I have to actually say I think they have regressed! Its gonna be tough getting excited about this seasons up coming draft. What difference does it make? They could have had Joe Thomas and David Harris, we were unanimous that those were the picks that needed to happen. Instead they go with the supposed "can't miss" with CJ and then get all freaky in the 2nd burning up latter round picks to "go get who they want". Yeah, they've been real barn burners guys way to go! Stanton, IAF and Alexander...the only reason Alexander is on the field is Bullocks went on IR. Hell, it took them forever to even acknowledge CJs existence after they drafted him. Now here we are at the end of the season and this "can't miss" pick is droppin balls faster than CRog or BFMW did. Wow...thats all I can say...wow. I am really lookin forward to this braintrust comin' up with another "grab bag" of talent in the 08 draft.
Here's a question for you, how many teams have had consistent picks in the top 10 (say for 2 or 3 years) and not managed to turn things around. I'm not saying that drafting top 10 rookies will instantly turn your team around. But what I am saying is, thats the kind of talent that can, along with good FA work. When you have a shot at the Orlando Pace's, the Julius Peppers' and the Johnathon Vilma's for 7 years running and still can't get things back on track...yeah, thats called a complete "No Confidence Vote". 7 Frikkin' years and all they can do is barely squeak out a 7 and 9 season...thats what their gonna call progress...I call that pathetic.
