Great line on WFAN. McCareins is still needed in New York. He will be dropping the ball in Times Square on New Year's Eve.

There's nothing wrong with Somers, he is more down to earth, let's you talk, doesn't berate his callers, has fun schmoozing with his callers. I liked listening to his show when it was on in hte middle of the night and I worked as a security guard on the night shift many years ago.

I like him too. Not the agitator type like Jim Rome or Stephen A. Smith. It's like the only adjectives they know are BEST, WORST, RIDICULOUS, all extremes, all looking to get a rise out of the caller, then they hang up on the person and basically tell everyone why that person is so stupid and they are so smart.
I don't know if it is by design or not, but the only ones I like listening to on the radio is the ex-jocks. Golic and Boomer E are lucid, intelligent and even handed, then they have to have the obligatory shock jock wannabe next to them to irate the listener to keep them listening. That hardly ever works with me, there is only so much of Carton or Greenburgh I can take before turning on the Ipod.

The two that I can't stand under any circumstances are Woody Paige & Skip Bayless. They come on the TV & I go for the clicker.

Wow they really suck good call. Also John Clayton, man is that guy a total loser or what?
I like PTI's Kornheiser and Wilbon when they are together, but Kornheiser alone on MNF is god awful.

I like the guys who seem to enjoy what they do and aren't harboring agendas and bitterness or looking to entertain by stirring things up. You know, those who you can tell have a sincere humility to them and no arrogance. There are a couple guys like that in the Boston talk radio scene. My favorite is Mike Adams. He's funny and makes solid arguments without ridiculing anyone. He's also a true fan and genuinely admits to his biases.

Im sure Wolfe hates him because of his relentless attacks on the Islanders.

Speaking of the Icelanders, what did Simple Simon get today? Was it 25 or 30 games???

There have been worse for sure, but the league has been getting increasingly tougher over the past few years.

I like Greenberg and Golic best.
Humor, great guests and both have a good handle on sports.
Greenie loves the Jets too and is long suffering.
