I heard Koppen during "The Morning Blitz" on Sirius this AM talking with Randy Cross and waxing poetic about how supposedly underrated their running game is. Forgive me if I wasn't impressed by those two FGs against a team that has struggled to stop the run all year and was in pass coverage for most of the game trying to disrupt Brady with blitzes and exotic schemes.

Did anyone see any evidence of a sound running attack on Sunday? I don't think you can count on a gimmie defensive TD and blocked punt just before the half that hand you 1st and goal on a platter, but that's just me. If Nuge hadn't missed that short FG late the Jets would have equaled their point production without a running game at that and if McCareins (No longer worthy of "JMac" as he's on the way out) had squeezed Chad's ball they would have been outscored.

So by all means Dan Koppen, et al, please continue to operate under the delusion that you somehow proved something to the world and the league in Foxboro this past Sunday. All I saw was a team that's supposed to be explosive exploding. Blame it on the rain, I guess. :rain: :ohwell:

Like I said Sunday, the Jets were in a lot of 2-4-5 and Nickle fronts on 1st and 2nd down particularly n the first half when the Pats were running on us.

YEA, some dominant running game there.

Even when we're trying to stop the run, everybody runs well against us. Delusions of grandeur I'd say.

They are so not used to running that they actually had two broken plays where Brady just turned and ran for one yard early on. lol Similar to their punter bobbling that snap, it's the old "use it or lose it" words of wisdom coming into play here. I think they've relied so heavily on the passing game that they've come close to losing it.

We'll see. :devil2:

the pats 2 TD's were defense and blocked punt, jets defense did a hell of a job, Pats gonna have trouble playing in new england come January, with the wind and cold anything can happen. 16-0 and not win superbowl is embarrasing
