I think this is the kind of game the Jets can easily win - it plays perfectly to the "strengths" of this team. We should be able to keep it close and sell out on the run defense. The running of White, Brown and Young are very good and they will grind it out against us all game long. If we can force Young to stay in the pocket, we can get him to make mistakes and capitalize. Alternatively if we can generate some success with the short passing game, we negate their best strength on defense, which is taking away the running game. Keep the ball on the perimeter and away from the interior run defense. Chad should be able to avoid Bullock and pick on their CBs. JUST DON"T CALL THE SIDELINE OUT PATTERN ON 3RD DOWN, they have some good safeties and their CBs will be looking to jumo that route from the help they can get.
This will be the typical garbage game that we all hate to see, because it is basically us admitting that we are overmatched and lack the ability to punch it up the gut and beat them in the trenches. Chad will be all about the 1 step drop and we will do everything we can with misdirection and screens and movement into quick routes. But in the end we can win this game handily by good defensive play and forcing the other team to beat us.
God I hate this teams mentality and strategies.
