...come playioff time. If a sh*tty 3-11 team like the Jets can keep them that close in bad weather, imagine what a fgood team will do.
If I were a Patsie fan, I'd be watching those weather forecatss very cloesely here on out!
Indy is the better team, I've thought that all year long.
It's a shame they lost 3 studs in Harrison, McFarland & Freeney for the season. If it's bad weather when these 2 meet again, Indy will win.

I know TURD is worried, a 3-10 team kept Tbrady out of the endzone, only TD was a gift at 10 yard line because of a blocked punt , 0TD's isnt gonna get it done vs good teams that love to play in the cold. The pats can not throw in the cold, I think turd knows its cold in january. The browns or the jags could upset them nevermind the colts

It was actually the two yard line they took over possession after the blocked punt.
I think what it gives us is hope ... hope they will lose eventually.

Who won between Indy and NE?

Forget INdy...the weather nuetralizes them too. If I were you, I wuld NOT want to be playing Jax or SD (or even Pitt) in a bad weather playoff game.

SD's secondary sure has improved. ;)

Pats fans, and Boston talk radio hosts are checking the weather forecast already for Sunday. Why? They want Brady, and the Pats to break the passing, and scoring records on this Sunday.
Rain and snow aren't as big a problem as the wind. The wind is the kliller, and we are talking 20 MPH plus. Anything under that is normal for this time of year up here. Cold hasn't been nor will ever be a problem. If it was, the Pats would be playing under a dome.
You can always stop the run by bringing up more players than can be blocked. The Pats have been bringing Harrison up a lot lately. It doesn't appear that they are comfortable stopping the run with their front seven.
Offense won't be a problem in the playoffs. Brady had to learn a lesson last Sunday. He wasn't doing what he does best throw the ball to the open receiver.
Defense is still the big question mark. No one in the playoffs is going to be stupid enough to try and run the option. The success the Jets had on the first option run hurt them. If the run failed, they might have gotten away from it a lot sooner than the did.

The wind combined with the heavy slushy rain was a factor as it made the ball very heavy. The Pats can play in the cold and in the snow.

The Meadowlands seems to be windy every week! lol 20 MHP gusts are not that big of a deal unless the temp is in the 30's. They you have the cold and wet unis making it feel even colder to deal with. It's not just the wind, it's everything.

Yes, and they've also been playing decent bend-don't-break again after failing miserably early on. The Pats defense has come on strong the past few weeks after being somewhat exposed by Philly and Baltimore. As much as I hate to admit it, they are once again in balance as a team. I don't think they will be very successful in stopping teams that have the personnel to exploit their slower line backers and secondary though. Red zone defense will make or break this team this year.

You hope. But he still seems to go to the "Randy well" far too often of late. Perhaps their initial success with that is hurting them now that the weather is not ideal? ;)

Stupid enough, or desperate enough?
I agree that no team is likely to be stupid enough to let a guy like Brad Smith run a conventional play and throw on 4th down. But then again, they probably won't be juggling three options at QB either.

PRECISELY. In watching NFL Replay the same thought occurred to me .. that the first one worked and they kept trying to duplicate it to no avail. And that's why I was relieved to see Smith get nicked.
The worst sequence was what I alluded to above .. they fumbled a pitch for a loss of eight on 2nd down and 10, Chad came in and threw a perfect comeback route to Cotchery on his first snap of the game for 16 yards and then they immediately brought Smith back in to run an option roll-out pass. :loco: :wtf:
