Will we be going with Clemens or Chad next week?
What was the injury, ribs or shoulder, I could not hear the game.

It looked like a benching to me

tell me what he has, Blitzis recognitis?
You obviously know very little about the game so I won't even bother with you.
Here's a tip for the future, Richard Seymour is a d-lineman, he doesn't blitz. YAI

It looked like a shoulder, he go slammed down onto his shoulder pretty hard.
I think that he could've come in in the second half, but why would he? he is not 100% and Pennington was actually playing well whenever they decided to play him and no Smith.

they guy was coming right at him. It wasn't like he was blindsided. Your just mad because mangini went with chad! I don't think it was a bad move, KC will get over it
Seymour shed his block and was immediatly on top of him, he had zero time to recognize it but since you thought it was a blitz I can understand your stupidity.
I made money on the game and didn't expect a win, yah I'm crushed. YAI

clemens could have throw it away or eaten the safety - it's not so easy to say 'its not his fault' the guy threw the ball despite having an all pro draped over him. it was poor judgment. and while i am not a doctor i don't think Clemens could have come back in the game, it looked like a separated shoulder or worse (labrum?). i don't buy the ribs story.

How do you throw the ball away when you're releasing it and simultaneoulsy a 330 lbs dude starts to body slam you, I'd love to know.

ok fine how about take the sack? 2 points safety better than 7 points TD, no?

Give the kid a break will you? I think he was trying to make a play and panicked. He saw a 300 pund horse bearing down on him and he tried to get rid of it quicly and unfortunately got hit as he threw.
Just out of curiosty Doctor...when have you EVER seen a QB, rookie or vet, simply "take the safety" as you so simplistically put it?
Bad deicsion on his part but I saw a 10 year vet make the same decision in a SB back in 84 so how about you shut your yap.

I supppose but again when you're in the act of throwing the ball and are hit simultaneously I'm not sure it's humanly possible.

As in separated and left (non-throwing).
Either that or AFL's benching theory could have some merit. It worked for Miami this week.

being able to know when to take the sack or throw it away are essential skills that Clemens hasn't displayed any mastery of before this incident.
unless your name is Tom Brady life in the NFL doesn't deal for good breaks, and contrary to popular belief injury is not always a dumb luck occurrence.

I couldn't really tell if his arm was in motion when he was getting hit, but he might've thought he could get the pass off before the hit yet the hit caused the ball to float up more for an easy pickoff.
I blame the O line once again, they just cannot offer adequate protection for the QB.
Again, nice to save the million for Kendall, Tannenbaum/Mangini isn't it? at the expense of whoever is in the backfield getting hit! I would've at least have waited until we had a solid replacement in place before getting rid of the guy.

Whatever you say Ray Lucas. lol
The OLine has been sub par all year long, but it would be somewhat reckless to point to the Pete Kendall showdown as a be-all, end-all. jmho Not even the beat writers have tried to go that route lately.

It's obvious that the O line needs more help than Kendall would've provided, but it was Clarke that was beaten for that Clemens endzone hit causing the first INT/TD, if Kendall was there, he is alot better than Clarke an most likely would've given much better protection on that play.
Clarke sucks, andd we all knew in preseason that if Tanenbaum/Mangini were going to make such a huge stance over a million dollars, they better have a plan in place to replace him, they were coming off a successful first season and probably thought the Jets were better than they actually are and could easily replace him and get rid of what they felt was a locker room problem as well.
It didn't work out that way, our O line sucks, and having Clarke instead of Kendall is a big reason why.

LOL it's true Clemens has terrible pocket awareness, even before this game he doesn't feel the pressure coming like a quality NFL QB should.
