Yes, there is snow in the forecast, but this is New England and things can change in a hurry.

BTW, you should have heard the clowns on WEEI this afternoon on the Big Show. According to them, the fact that the Patriots can't run the ball is not a problem. And regardless of whether it rains, snows or is freezing and windy, it doesn't matter - they are all but invincible! In fact, they were actually arguing that FieldTurf gets easier and easier to cut on as it gets colder and that it's easier to throw the ball IN THE SNOW! :rotf:

You can't make this stuff up folks!! :pound:

If it does indeed snow, I may take the Jets and the 24 points, I still think the Pats will win, (unfortunately) but Brady and Moss may not be as potent in the snow as they are on a dry field.

The snow could indeed make it a lower scoring game.

I'd put your bets in now TB. Lots of people are talking about that spread and the weather already. I expect the spread to be down to 20 or so at gametime assuming the weather report stays the same. I put mine in already for 24 1/2!

Take the Pats minus 35 folks. You heard it here first!

If Kellen starts, I might be forced to agree with you. :ohwell:

I thought Kellen was the savior a few weeks back when you guys were all clamoring for Chad to be drawn and quartered.

I thought Kellen was the savior a few weeks back when you guys were all clamoring for Chad to be drawn and quartered.

Some had unrealistic expectations, or scapegoated Chad, but I think most were pretty level headed and expected Kellen to struggle some. I'm just thinking that I would not like to be Kellen Clemens or John Brock the next two weeks.

So can we agree that 24 pts (roughly) is too low a spread for this game? 100-6 perhaps?

Should be a good bet Step if the forecast holds up. And it's not just the snow, as they current forecast is for 29 mph winds.

What's the over/under? The under should look pretty also.

Just looked the o/u up & it's 47.

Spread has already dropped to 23.5. This could get interesting for Vegas & the bookies.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt a snowstorm actually HELP a passing game as the corners cannot react to the receivers adequately?

listen to something other than Boston area sports talk Turd. If you knew the first thing about anything you would know that;

#1: Ice is cold
#2: It's wet too.
#3: Cold makes things harder, like footballs, turf, etc.
#4: It also makes things hurt, like fingers, toes, etc.
#5: If you throw something like a football, that is cold, hard and wet at a person whose fingers are cold and wet, there is a liklihood that he may have a bit more trouble catching said football than he might have if it is say oh, sunny and seventy-five!

I'm keeping this simple so you can stay with me here. Now in addition to the cold, hard, and wet problems that ice and snow bring, there is the problem of visibility. If it is snowing hard, then visibility gets reduced accordingly. What about any of that makes you think that a snowstorm helps the passing game?
You want to take the Pats minus 24 this Sunday, be my guest. Put a $1,000 on it! If it snows hard for that game though, not only will the Pats not cover that spread, they may not even score 24 total points.
Personally, I would love to see the Jets beat those massholes 3-0 in a blinding blizzard, but I seriously doubt that will happen. What I think is far more likely, but would still absolutely make my Christmas, would be to see the Pats win the game 21-0. They could still easily win the game and fail to cover that spread. In the middle of a snowstorm? Go for it! That way while the rest of us are enjoying the Holidays with our families, all of you Pats fans can sit around pining over your lost money for taking such a foolish bet just weeks before Christmas.

the Patriots are going to be in serious trouble when they get to the playoffs and realize they have no running game.

Oh ok KC plays Nickel Back :pound:.

Didn't you also say it wouldn't matter with our line situation?

It's comments like above that make you sound like IBP! :rotf:

The only team here with something to lose is the Pats. If you guys win, no matter what the score, it will simply be what everyone expected. If you lose, then it will be the biggest upset of the last thirty years! If we get creamed, so what? There isn't much difference between 3-10 and 3-11. But if you guys lose? No more perfect season, no more "best team of all time" BS.
So basically what I'm saying is we have absolutely nothing to lose and you guys have got nothing to gain here. So what happens if it does snow like he!! and you guys do lose? Or even if you win but the score is like 17-10? Will you come back here and admit that you were wrong? I'll bet we don't see or hear from you, just like last year when you guys talked this same kind of BS and we went up to Foxboro and beat your a$$es! Run your mouth some more Turd. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

That means the Patsies will have less space to put any snow that may fall Saturday into Sunday. :devil2:

Just remember folks, the Pats don't need to run the ball and snow makes it easier to throw.
