ha what a disaster. They should hire Marty today. He could have a good look at the guys on the team over the next few weeks and go from there.

Honestly, don't let the doorknob hit ya where the good lord split ya. I honestly didn't think it was a good move for the Falcons to hire him in the first place and now that he's pulled a Nick Saban this franchise can try and move on fully from this disastrous season and get a real leader in house. He didn't have the class to at least complete the season so I can't really say I respect the guy.
I think NFL owners and general managers are going to be a lot more mindful of trying to bring a college coach in to take over their vacant HC spot. These guys really don't seem to realize what they're getting themselves into. Talking to college kids any kind of way and basically telling them what to do doesn't cut it at this level where you're leading grown ass men with families of their own some who may make more money than you do. I'd maybe buy the argument that he was doing what's best for himself and his family and respect him a bit more if he waited until the offseason and was straight about his intentions but he's nothing more than an opportunist who got in over his head at the pro level and decided to run back to the college game.
It's going to be hard for things to get worse than they are right now so the only way to go is up. The Falcons need a leader that can inspire and command the respect of the players and a guy who is prepared for this kind of rebuilding job. There's a nice core of young talent on this team, now the Falcons need to find a real leader to take them to the next level. At the end of the day Petrino wasn't anything close to the leader that this franchise needed to get to the next level and better late than never as far as finding that out.

Couldn't have even had the class to wait until the season was over....Another hit to the franchise...

been a crazy couple of days for y'all. Vick, MNF loss, coach resignation.
Do agree, classless for him to not finish the year or address the team.
